Our family-oriented Taekwondo ministry is designed to meet these expectations for students of all ages and skill levels. We offer two programs to facilitate instruction for different age levels:
Mighty Kids, our premiere taekwondo skills children's program, is available for students age 4 to 7 years old, who have a parent enrolled in the program.
Our Traditional Taekwondo program is available for ages 8 to adult and students who have been promoted from the Mighty Kids program.
Our next BEGINNER CLASS is May 1st & 8th. Please arrive at 5:45PM for paperwork, class time 6-7:00 PM.
In order to apply for beginner classes we request that you complete
one enrollment form per family.

Student Requirements
The following are expectations for students participating in Open Door Taekwondo. School policies, information regarding childcare, and gear purchase is available for print here.
- Be teachable and willing to adhere to all school rules and regulations.
- Be respectful at all times.
- Attend a minimum of 2 classes per week (year-round).
- After achieving the rank of 8th gup, consistent attendance of 7pm Tuesday sparring class is required.
- Consistently practice skills at home.
- In order to enroll a child age 4 to 7, at least one parent must also be
enrolled as a participating student
Tuition Costs
Tuition is $20 per month per family. Additional costs include uniform $17 per person, testing fees $20 per person (testing about once every three months), VTCDKA national membership $30 per person or $80 per family, and sparring gear $100 per person purchased after earning high yellow belt (8th gup). First tuition payment is due at registration/enrollment. Checks should be made payable to Open Door TKD.
After acheiving 8th Gup, students are required to join Victory Taekwondo Chung Do Kwan Association. The annual membership fee is $35 individual or $80/family and is due January 1st of each year. If you apply for membership after January 1st, you should mail the application and fees to:

A nursery is available for families with both parents enrolled and participating. Families with children in the nursery are asked to contribute an extra $5 per month.
Open Door Taekwondo is a ministry of Open Door Baptist Church. We operate on a cost-recovery basis. Our instructors volunteer their time to the glory of Jesus Christ.
